Background
AIM Church has been serving the community of Appleton, Warrington, since 1987. It was in 1986, when new housing developments began to grow in Appleton, that a small group of Christians moving into the area, realised that it didn’t have immediate local access to a church. After praying about the situation and following God's guidance, a church was “planted” and a suitable place to meet was sought. Appleton Parish Hall became the new home for the brand new AIM Church. The first service was held on the 13th September 1987 and we have been meeting there every week since!
AIM Church identifies 3 important principles for spiritual growth. We are “Bible Based, Prayer Orientated & Spirit Led” This phrase was coined by one of our founding members and has always been at the heart of who we are.
We have always placed great emphasis on reaching out to the community, as we believe that the Good News about Jesus is life changing and our privilege and responsibility to share. It is for this reason that you will always be welcome at AIM Church – whoever you are, wherever you have been, whatever you have done in life. We like to live like a family – many different individuals, held together because of our love for Jesus and His love for us.
God has continued to faithfully bless and grow the work at AIM Church. To God be the Glory, great things He has done and continues to do.
